Description:
|
To provide additional skills and capacity to the maintenance and development teams in support of a Modernization initiative. To support the re-development of existing module as well as to apply changes to support integration and decommission of new/old functionality. |
Security Clearance:
|
Must hold a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Enhanced Reliability level. |
Requirements:
- Must have completed Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer technology, Computer engineering or Software engineering or equivalent.
- Must have minimum of 4 years of cumulative experience in performing functional testing activities on information management systems as part of a formal testing team in the context of system development or maintenance activities. Experience must include;
•Preparation of test plans
•Development, documentation and execution of test cases.
•Creation of detailed defect reports
•Regression testing
- Must have minimum of 4 years of experience in performing functional testing activities for data migration and/or data consolidation and/or any batch processing which requires the utilization of low level verification and validation procedures such as direct database access through SQL scripts and queries and file content and format verification (XML, CSV or others).
- Must have minimum of 1 year of experience working with the following Rational testing automation tools;
•Rational Functional Tester
•Rational Robot
•Rational Test Manager
- Should have experience as an application programmer using any third generation language (3GL) such as Java, Visual Basic/VBA, Pascal, C, C++ etc).
- Should have formal training in quality assurance (application testing) techniques/best practices and/or related tools.
- Should have experience working with the following Rational testing automation tools;
•Rational Functional Tester
•Rational Robot
•Rational Test Manager
- Should have experience in performing analysis of reported production problems, in replicating those problems in a lab environment and in identifying and documenting the different scenarios that will cause the problem to occur,
- Should have experience working with Rational Clear Case for document configuration management and Clear Quest for the tracking and reporting of software defects and enhancement requests.
