Description:
|
To provide additional skills and capacity to the maintenance and development teams in support of a Modernization initiative. To support the re-development of existing module as well as to apply changes to support integration and decommission of new/old functionality. |
Security Clearance:
|
Must be eligible for a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Enhanced Reliability level. |
Requirements:
- Must demonstrate minimum of 10 years of experience as programmer/software developer creating and modifying software code, developing functional specifications and design documentation.
- Must demonstrate minimum of 7 years of experience as programmer/software developer performing maintenance activities on medium or large (50+ Screens or equivalent) Legacy applications.
- Must demonstrate minimum of 5 years of experience in application development or maintenance using Visual Basic 6, ASP 3.0, HTML, JavaScript, COM+ and Active-X controls.
- Must demonstrate minimum of 2 years of experience in application development or maintenance using an Oracle database. Must include development and/or maintenance of PL/SQL package, stored procedures to be called from a Visual Basic 6.0 application.
- Must have completed Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer technology, Computer engineering or Software engineering or equivalent.
- Should have university degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering or equivalent.
- Should demonstrate experience in Web application development or maintenance using Visual Basic 6, ASP 3.0, HTML, JavaScript, COM+, Active-X controls.
- Should demonstrate experience in application development or maintenance using Oracle databases. Must include development and/or maintenance of PL/SQL package, stored procedures to be called from a Visual Basic 6.0 application.
- Should demonstrate experience developing reports using Active Reports (Data Dynamics).
- Should demonstrate experience working in a multi-team environment where application developers must communicate and rely on others teams (e.g. Testing, Database Engineering, Data Modeling, Configuration management and environment management). In order to accomplish their work.
- Should demonstrate experience working with Rational Clear Case and Clear Quest in the context of system development or maintenance activities.
