Solutions Delivery - Senior Practioner

Description:
The Solutions Delivery Senior Practioner provides expertise and leadership within the Solutions Delivery Team. He/she must be a technical expert with the ability to think outside the box, providing innovative ideas either across the entire enterprise or within a business unit. He/she must be a natural leader with exceptional customer, people and management skills coupled with strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills. He/she must have the motivation and perseverance to aide the Practice Leader with growth of the Solutions Delivery team. He/she must be able to work independently and within a team framework. Must be able to listen effectively and be able to maintain a professional image.

Job responsibilities include:

•Developing, implementing and managing key strategies and processes to ensure profitable growth and expansion of our Solutions Delivery practice;

•designing and delivering custom applications, augmenting customer managed teams with experience, and providing consulting advice regarding strategic directions and architectures;

•working closely with various internal groups such as Business Development to ensure effective design and delivery of Solutions Delivery offerings, as well as ensuring that customers/prospects receive exceptional service at all times;

•aide in overseeing and providing direction to our Solutions Delivery professionals;

•working with your team to determine time frames, procedures and standards for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and resource allocation for the various consulting initiatives.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible for a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Secret level.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10-12 years experience in IT industry
  • Minimum 10 years experience in application design (including the use of structured design methodologies ie. OO, RUP)
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Grants and Contributions or Case Management Systems strongly desired
  • Experience with Siebel strongly desired
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Team Leader
  • Extensive knowledge of leading-edge designs and technologies
  • In depth experience developing/managing web applications and portal projects
  • Formal consulting experience to the Federal Government required
  • Bilingualism would be an asset
  • University Degree in computer science or related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, CBAP) an asset
