Test Coordinator

Description:
Our Client requires a qualified Contractor to ensure that there Education Branch meets its critical resourcing requirements for the implementation of the EIS as part of the GoC’s Re-forming First Nations Education Initiative.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 Provide advice, guidance and coordination efforts for the Test Strategy and Plan, selection of automated testing tools, and identification of dates, dependencies, and resources required for the activities that com-prise the Test Schedule;
 Plan, organize, and schedule testing efforts, including the execution of systems integration tests, special-ized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests);
 Include and update appropriate elements of the Test Schedule within the EIS Master Project Schedule;
 Prepare and maintain within a Test Results Tracking Repository the log of defects identified including their priority, causal analysis, resolution options, impact assessment and risk identification;
 Prepare periodic results reports and statistics on testing activities, documenting test execution progress, tests failed, defect tracking (logged and resolved), and risks identified;
 Prepare Test Documentation for each test phase: Unit, System, Conversion, Regression, Load, Stress, In-tegration, User Acceptance Testing, and Implementation (go-live), including test data and cases.

Security Clearance:
Must hold a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Enhanced Reliability level.

Requirements:
  • Must have ten (10) years of formal work experience as a Test Coordinator as part of the development and implementation of an IT system.
  • Must have experience using MS Office Suite, MS Project, and defect tracking tools (such as Test Track Pro).
  • Should have experience as it relates to the SOW and the extent of their experience in the provision of test coordination services within the Government of Canada, Crown Corporation, or Government Agency .
  • Should have project experience relating to the following: i. First Nation organizations and band councils; ii. The field of education; and iii. Performance measurement systems.
  • Should have experience coordinating testing for complex IT projects using established project management methodologies for the Government of Canada, a Crown Corporation, or Government Agency.
