Description:
IT/NET is seeking senior consultants to work as part of its growing Business Intelligence (BI) and Integration Practice. This practice specializes in delivering enterprise class Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehouse (DW) and Data & Application integration solutions to its clients, primarily within the federal government. We are a services partner of Cognos, Oracle and Microsoft and are a trusted strategic advisor to many government departments in all aspects of reporting and performance management.
We are looking for self-starters who can provide a full range of consulting services from planning to operations, with an emphasis on the strategic and architectural elements of an effective information platform. Accordingly the ideal candidate has broad IM/IT experience with a specialization in BI and DW.
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Practice Leader and able to work with minimal supervision, your responsibilities will include:
• Working with clients to gather document and analyze requirements to determine appropriate BI solutions to meet client needs.
• Developing the detailed analysis and detailed design for BI/DW solutions.
• Developing detailed specifications/designs for BI/DW solutions/applications.
• Develop, test and implement BI/DW solutions/applications.
• Maintaining knowledge of database and BI/DW software and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or other bachelor’s degree plus 1 year IT diploma in a recognized college or significant related work experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years consulting or project experience with client Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing projects.
• Government of Canada security clearance at the level of Secret or better.
• Self motivated team player, with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
• Complex problem solving and logic capabilities.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and data warehousing methodologies, architecture and design.
• Knowledge of some or all of the following toolsets:
• Cognos suite of BI tools
• Business Objects and Crystal Reports
• Microsoft Analysis Services and Microsoft Reporting Services
• Oracle BI tools including Datawarehouse Builder
• DTS and other ETL tools
• UNIX & Linux
• Working ERP knowledge of ERP platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle or SAP)
• Training experience.
• Working knowledge of one or more data warehouse methodologies

Must be eligible for a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Secret level. |
