Description:

To provide additional skills and capacity to the maintenance and development teams in support of a Modernization initiative. To support the re-development of existing module as well as to apply changes to support integration and decommission of new/old functionality. |
Security Clearance:

Must hold a valid Government of Canada security clearance to at least the Enhanced Reliability level. |
Requirements:
- Must have minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience as system analyst, programmer/software developer, application architect on various system development or maintenance projects. As part of those engagements, the proposed resource must have had some experience with each of the following technological environment:
•N-tier transactional web application developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, COM/COM+, ASP 3.0.
•Oracle RDBMS
•N-tier transactional web application using the STRUT or JSF framework and Java EE version 2 or higher.
•N-tier transactional Swing based application using Java SE or EE version 2 or higher.
- Must have minimum of 5 years experience as a major contributor or as the lead application/software architect on at least one large enterprise information management system development projects where requirements such as scalability, performance, availability and reliability were critical success factor.
In this context, a large enterprise system is defined as consisting of over 100 data entry screens (or equivalent) with a user population of more than 5,000 users in various geographical locations connected over a heterogeneous combination of local, and wide area networks.
- Must have minimum of 5 years experience as the lead application/software architect on at least one successful legacy system modernization or re-engineering project.
- Must have minimum of 3 years experience as the lead application/software architect on application development project(s) using Java EE 2 or higher.
- Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in assessing application and database workload/performance and recommending optimization design scenarios with at least one (1) instance of experience using Java, Oracle and Hibernate.
- Must have Must hold a valid Sun Enterprise Architect (SCEA) certification.
- Must have University degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering or equivalent.
- Should have Post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering or equivalent.
- Should have experience as developer or lead application architect on an N-tier transactional web application developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, COM/COM+, ASP 3.0 and Oracle.
- Should have experience as developer or lead application architect on an N-tier transactional web application using the STRUT or JSF framework and Java EE version 2 or higher.
- Should have experience in designing and implementing a distributed service based application architecture using, Swing, Hibernate and Java SE or EE version 2 or higher.
- Should have experience in the design and implementation of complex messaged based system integration solutions using a combination of off the shelf enterprise integration solution and custom point to point integration programs.
- Should have experience in conducting feasibility studies or application benchmarking involving complex distributed software, hardware and network (LAN and WAN) components.
