To accomplish the final phase, IM wishes to retain the services of a senior project manager with significant experience in an Information and Records Management environment. Requirements include:

a) Under the direction of the Director, Information and Library Management (Director of IM), lead the IM group in the multi faceted inter-dependent projects identified above;

b) Work with the Director of IM, records and document management resources, IT resources including contract technical resources, Our Client’s business representatives, and GCDOCS end users. This will include presentations to senior executives, leading and participating in IMIT working groups, client work groups, meetings with business managers, IM specialists, information analysts and other contract resources in the roll-out of GCDOCS;

c) Provide strategic advice, assist in developing and evolving the vision for content management in the School, business planning and recommendations to the Director of IM, to ensure alignment with Our Client’s IM, IT, Our Client’s Corporate, Library and Archives, and Treasury Board objectives, especially with regard to achieving Recordkeeping Directive compliance by 2015;

d) Work with other IM resources to assess business practices and processes, and validate business requirements of Our Client’s work groups against the configuration of GCDOCS;

e) Analyze and assess on-going support requirements for GCDOCS end users, and make recommendations to ensure an efficient and sustainable adoption plan;

f) Contribute to the strategy, planning and implementation of the shared drive clean-up and migration of records of business value;

g) Work with the Director of IM and ad hoc change management resources to strategize and coordinate communications with stakeholders in support of the project;

h) With the Director of IM, liaise with other departments (SSC, PWGSC,TBS) as required;

i) Identify critical issues and escalate to the Director of IM, with regular follow-up and reporting;

j) Prepare communications (oral and written) to executive management and project stakeholders on behalf of the Director of IM; and

k) Provide on-going knowledge transfer to Our Client’s IM staff and/or other resources to maintain continuity of operations at the conclusion of the project.
